Abstract This Regulation provides for requirements for the treatment of old devices within the meaning of Section 3 of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act for activities after handover of old devices to an initial facility treatment. Such treatment include removal of pollutants, separation of valuable materials, dismantling, crushing, recycling, recycling other utilization and preparation for disposal. This Regulation does not apply to the activity of preparing for the reuse of entire waste equipment. The Regulation provides for treatment of radioactive components, printed circuit boards, plastics, flat screen devices, cathode ray tubes, photovoltaic modules and heat exchangers. The Regulation consists of 3 Sections as follow: General Rules (1); Requirements for the treatment of old devices, components, mixtures and substances (2); Self-monitoring, entry into force (3).
