Abstract This Regulation sets forth the procedures and principles for reducing and eventually discarding the use of methyl bromide at agriculture in accordance to Montreal Protocol. A “National Methyl Bromide Supreme Board” has been set up to study and monitor the alternative applications and to review the Plan of Action on Reducing the Use of Methyl Bromide. Tasks and composition of the Board are given in details. The use of Methyl Bromide will be halted totally by January 1st 2008. A table showing gradual decrease by dates is provided in the regulation. Companies, wholesalers, dealers and fumigation operators are obliged to notify the quantities in stocks within three months as of the enforcement date of this regulation.
