Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of eight articles and one Annex, lays down detailed conditions for the recognition of producer groups for the implementation of food quality schemes with the aim of planning and coordination of production with demand, promotion of the supply concentration, joint marketing of products and increase of competitiveness. These provisions do not apply to professional and industrial organizations representing one or more sectors. Quality schemes, which are the basis for the recognition of producer groups under these rules, are: organic production and processing, guaranteed traditional specialty, protected designation of origin, protected geographical indication, integrated production, goodness of the farms and high quality.
