Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on radiological and nuclear safety, prescribes: radiation limits for individual inhabitants, exposed workers, certain organs or tissues of the human body, persons being trained or educated to work in the area of exposure; recommended dose limit for an individual resident, persons who consciously and voluntarily support the patient and help him during the diagnostic intervention or therapeutic procedure in medicine and dentistry using ionizing radiation sources, persons who voluntarily participate in medical and biomedical, diagnostic or therapeutic research programmes that include the use of sources of ionizing radiation, persons exposed to non-medical radiation; manner of determining the category of exposed workers; reference levels for existing radiation, method, duration, scope and deadlines for measuring personal radiation of exposed workers, external exposed workers or persons trained or educated to work with ionizing radiation sources; manner for related record keeping. This text transposes the provisions of the Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation, and repealing Directives 89/618/Euratom, 90/641/Euratom, 96/29/Euratom, 97/43/Euratom and 2003/122/Euratom.
