Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on ambient air quality, determines the quantities of upper limits of certain emissions of pollutants, in order to determine projections for a period of time that refers to the reduction of quantities of emissions of pollutants on an annual basis. The provisions of this text shall not apply to air traffic emissions other than the landing and take-off cycles of aircraft. "Emission" is the release of a pollutant or release from a non stationary source into the atmosphere. The upper limits of emission ceilings referred to emissions of pollutants that cause acidification, eutrophication and increase of the concentration of ground-level ozone are intended as for sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), ammonia (NH3), and organic compounds (VOCs). These upper limits of pollutant emissions (see Annex of this publication) and projections for their reduction are here determined for a period of time from 1 January 2010 until 31 December 2020.
