Abstract

This Regulation requires the application of quarantine measures to protect the territory of the Russian Federation against pests, plant diseases and weeds to: (a) seeds and planting material; (b) fresh vegetables, fruits and berries; (c) grains and cereals for human consumption and technical purposes; (d) rice; (e) pathogens; (f) insects; (g) packaging materials; and (h) fodder, hay and compound animal feedstuffs. Quarantine measures shall be applicable to: (a) conveyances arriving from abroad or from areas under quarantine; (b) storage facilities for produce subject to quarantine inspection; and (c) agricultural and forested areas adjacent to the state border. In the event an infection is identified, the state inspection for plant quarantine shall impose quarantine on the entire area.
