Abstract The purpose of this Government Regulation is to protect human health from the adverse effects of noise and vibration. The present Regulation lays down: (a) threshold values of noise and vibration in the workplace, the method of their detection and measures to protect the health of employees; (b) threshold values of noise for protected outdoor space, protected outdoor spaces of buildings and protected interior spaces of buildings; (c) threshold values of vibration for protected spaces inside buildings; (d) method of measurement and assessment of noise and vibration for day and night. The present Regulation is composed of 23 articles divide into the following Sections: Subject matter (Sec. 1); Workplace noise (Sec. 2); Noise in the protected indoor space, protected outdoor space of buildings protected and outdoor space (Sec. 3); Vibrations at work (Sec. 4); Vibrations in protected areas (Sec. 5); Method of measurement and evaluation of noise and vibration (Sec. 6); Final provisions (Sec. 7).
