This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation, in order to prevent the introduction of quarantine plant pathogen bacterial blight disease (of apples and pears) called Erwinia amylovora (Burill) Winslow et al. hereby prohibits the importation of living plants and parts thereof (other than fruit and seeds) and their transit (if they are not sealed or properly closed) as listed in the text (articles 1 and 2).
