Abstract

The present Regulation, adopted by the Swedish Food Agency, disciplines the planning of inspections before and after slaughter. The Regulation mandates the establishment of a slaughter schedule for the whole calendar year, with the exception of reindeer slaughterhouses. A slaughter schedule for reindeer shall be established for the period September – April. Game handling facilities shall submit a slaughter notification no later than three months before the first requested inspection during operating period. Detailed rules for the planning of inspections are contained with regard to these three types of slaughter.
