Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 11 articles, lays down the procedure for providing legal and analytical validity of official samples and samples for a supplementary expertise in the veterinary sector and the process to ensure the right of operators to apply for a supplementary expert opinion, including the right to acquire a sufficient number of samples, in accordance with the Regulation No. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls performed to ensure the verification of compliance with feed and food law, animal health and animal welfare rules. In particular, official samples can be taken be the official veterinarian, the official auxiliary or other person designated by the General Director of the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia.
