Abstract

The present Regulation, adopted by the Swedish Food Agency, contains rules on official control of food. The Regulation covers the following topics: Approval and registration of facilities; Control of products that are equated with food; Control of meat; Control of milk; Sampling and analysis; and Laboratories. The control authority shall annually establish a plan for the authority's food control, which shall over a period of at least three years and coverall areas for which the authority is responsible. The contents of such plans are specified in detail. The Regulation also contains rules regarding contingency plans.
