Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on radiological and nuclear safety, determines the type and scope of nuclear insurance measures, the content of the Nuclear Insurance Plan and the manner and scope of reporting on events that endanger nuclear insurance. The provisions of this Regulation shall apply to: 1. holders of authorizations to perform activities with a source of ionizing radiation or nuclear activity or activities for the disposal of radioactive waste and spent sources; 2. holders of radioactive waste, spent sources and spent nuclear fuel; 3. holders of nuclear material; 4. producers and/or owners of radioactive waste, spent sources, or spent nuclear fuel; 5. owners of nuclear materials. This text transposes the provisions of the Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionising radiation, and repealing Directives 89/618/Euratom, 90/641/Euratom, 96/29/Euratom, 97/43/Euratom and 2003/122/Euratom.
