Abstract

The present Regulation, adopted by the Swedish Food Agency, lays down general rules on natural mineral water and spring water. The provisions on labeling apply only to natural mineral water and spring water that is intended to be marketed in Sweden or exported to a Member State of the European Union. The Regulation contains detailed rules on definitions; approval and requirements of mineral water; extraction and treatment; quality requirements and inspections; labelling and packaging; etc.
