Abstract

This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Serbian Law on the recognition of varieties of agricultural plants, prescribes the methods of testing of varieties of nuts in the experimental field and in the laboratory, in order to recognize the variety. These testing methods shall examine certain essential characteristics of the variety, in order to determine: 1) production and use values of the variety (VCU test); 2) variety, uniformity and stability of the variety (DUS test). Production and use value of the variety (VCU test) is determined on the basis of the results of certain essential characteristics of the variety that relate to: 1) observation of phenological phases; 2) yield; 3) morphological characteristics of the fruit.
