This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

This Regulation provides technical and procedural test methods for fodder rape plant varieties such as (Brassica rapa L. var. Silvestris (Lam) Briggs), fodder kale (Brassica oleracea L. convar. Acephala (DC)) and other similar crucifers, for the purpose of recognizing the exact variety. The methods here provided are aimed to examine certain essential characteristics of a specific variety, in order to determine: 1) production and use values of the variety (VCU test); 2) variety, uniformity and stability of the variety (DUS test). Production and use value of the variety (VCU test) is determined on the basis of results of testing over certain essential characteristics of certain variety and related to the following two elements: 1) green mass yield; and 2) dry matter yield.
