Abstract

This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Serbian Law on the recognition of varieties of agricultural plants, determines the methods of testing the oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) on experimental fields and in laboratories, in order to recognize the exact variety of such cultivations. The methods here provided are aimed at verifying certain essential characteristics of the variety, in order to determine: 1) production and use values of the variety (VCU test); 2) variety, uniformity and stability of the variety (DUS test). The production and use value of this variety shall be determined on the basis of results of certain essential characteristics of the variety that related to: 1) grain yield (with 9% moisture); 2) moisture content in the grain; 3) grain oil content; 4) oil yield; 5) erucic acid content in the grain; 6) glucosinolate content; 7) shell cracking; 8) tolerance to a particular herbicide; 9) tolerance, or resistance to diseases and pests.
