Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of nine articles, lays down requirements concerning mechanical and biological treatment of mixed municipal waste and requirements for waste from processes of mechanical and biological treatment of mixed municipal waste. Treatment of municipal mixed waste consists of mechanical processes of waste treatment and biological treatment combined into one integrated technological process of processing of mixed municipal waste in order to prepare them for the recovery, including recycling, energy recovery, thermal treatment or storage. The process of mechanical and biological treatment takes place in a facility which can not be located at the landfill.
