Abstract This Regulation determines the method of measuring and classifying by dimensions, quality and purpose of use forest wood assortments from forests owned by the Republic of Slovenia for the purpose of their sale. Measuring the lengths of round timber is carried out with measuring instruments. The shortest length is measured between the parallel cross-sections at both ends of the assortment, which are perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the assortment and which cover the entire cross-section of the assortment. When measuring the lengths manually, for logs with a notch in this part, the middle of the roof of the notch or the place where the length between the cuts is the shortest is taken into account for the parallel section. Length is expressed in meters, rounded down to one decimal place.
