Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Veterinary Law (Republic of Srpska), prescribes measures for early detection, diagnosis, method of implementation, control and suppression of leptospirosis in animals. Leptospirosis is an acute infectious disease of domestic and wild animals that belongs to the group of zoonoses, and the cause of leptospirosis are bacteria of the genus Leptospira. Diagnostic examination of animals for leptospirosis is performed: 1) in case of abortion; 2) in case of illness or death of animals with established clinical signs indicating leptospirosis suspicion; 3) if pathoanatomical changes are found during slaughtering, on the basis of which leptospirosis can be suspected.
