Abstract This Regulation prescribes the maximum allowed residue concentrations of pharmacologically active substances which may be present in products of animal origin and intended for human nutrition, at the time of placing on the market. This text further defines the level of residues of pharmacologically active substances established as parameters for control purposes, in case of certain substances for which the maximum allowed residue concentrations are not determined. This Regulation does not apply to active biological substances intended to create active or passive immunity or for the diagnosis of immunogenicity, used in immunological veterinary drugs. Article 3 sets the classification in relation to substances and their maximum allowed residue concentration of pharmacologically active substances); article 4 in setting rules on the use of pharmacologically active substances; article 5 regards reference points for action taking; article 6 is on import bans; article 7 regards the placing on the market; article 9 sets out necessary measures in case of confirmed presence of a prohibited or not approved substance.
