The Regulation contains the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Special requirements for materials and products of regenerated cellulose sheet (cellophane); 3. Special requirements for ceramic objects; 4. Special requirements for pacifiers made of elastomer or rubber. Only such materials and products that meet the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004 and, where applicable, the specific requirements of these regulations may be imported or marketed. Materials and products of regenerated cellulose sheet shall be marketed at the pre-retail level accompanied by a written declaration certifying that they comply with the requirements of this Regulation. The Regulation also contains provisions on the maximum permitted quantity (limit value) of lead and cadmium that may be released from ceramic objects into foodstuffs. Ceramic products that have not yet come into contact with food shall in all stages of marketing up to and including the resale stage be accompanied by a written declaration.
