Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Forest Law (Republika Srpska), prescribes methods and criteria for assessment, monitoring and analysis of the impact of polluted air and other harmful factors on forest ecosystems. Measurement of damage to forest ecosystems in the Republika Srpska is carried out within the International Programme for Assessment and Monitoring of the Impact of Air Pollution (in accordance with the Convention on Long-range Cross-Border air pollution-United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Convention on Longrange Transboundary Air Pollution). Function of the Monitoring Coordination Center for health condition of forests will be performed by the institution "Sume Republike Srpske" (based in the city of Sokolac).
