Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on animal protection and welfare (Republika Srpska), determines the necessary conditions for keeping pets (Canis lupus f. familiaris), for keeping of dangerous animals, including the manner for their marking. An owner who owns a pet which is on the list of dangerous and potentially dangerous animal species (Annex 2) is obliged to, within 90 days from the date of entry into force of this text, report such animal to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and after that he can continue to hold that particular animal until animal death. The owner of a dangerous or potentially dangerous animal is obliged to keep the animal in accordance with the regulations on the protection and welfare of animals, veterinary medicine, rules on nature protection, public order and peace and the provisions of this Regulation.
