Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 24 articles, lays down control measures to be implemented in case of the outbreak of Newcastle disease for poultry, pigeons and other birds kept in captivity in accordance with Council Directive 92/66/EEC introducing Community measures for the control of Newcastle disease. This Regulation does not apply to wild birds. Art. 4 establishes measures in case of a suspicion of Newcastle disease, and art. 5 specifies measures after the confirmation of Newcastle disease by the official veterinarian. Art. 9 provides provisions concerning protection and surveillance zones around the infected holding, and art. 10 specifies actions to be taken in the infected area.
