Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waters, prescribes rules regarding dangerous and harmful substances and their emissions standards that can be discharged into the sewer or in a drainage system, in surface or groundwater bodies as well as in coastal lands and aquatic habitats (see Annex of this publication for full list of technical parameters). The purpose of this Regulation is to reduce and control related emissions and to protect the environment from harmful effects of discharged hazardous and harmful substances in wastewater, as well as to prevent and/or stop and reduce water pollution with hazardous and harmful substances. This text is harmonized with the provisions of the Council Directive 86/280/EEC on limit values and quality objectives for discharges of certain dangerous substances included in List I of the Annex to Directive 76/464/EEC.
