Abstract The aim of this Regulation is to ensure the fruit and vegetable trade is done in accordance with food safety standards and within the standards of free trade, to modernize the wholesale markets, to ensure tacibility of and registration of data on the fruits and vegetables, and to establish a database on wholesale markets to enable information sharing and enforce communication between members of the profession, producers and consumers. The Regulation covers provisions on the rules and procedures of establishment, management and inspection of wholesale markets. It further covers provisions regulating fruits and vegetable trade. The Regulation consists eight chapters, sixtythree articles and seven annexes.
