Abstract This Regulation, as in accordance with the provisions of the Law on food (Republic of Srpska), determines the List of foodstuffs additives approved for use in food and conditions for their uses, List of food additives, including additional substances (carriers) approved for use in additives, in food enzymes for food, in food flavors and nutrients, among related specific conditions for their use, including the way of declaring and labelling of those food additives which are placed on the market. A food additive is any substance which, whatever its nutritional value, it is not used as food, nor is it characteristic food ingredient, but is added to food for technological reasons during production, processing, preparation, processing, packaging, transport or storage, so directly or indirectly through its intermediates it becomes or can become an effective food ingredient.
