Abstract

The Regulation provides for the reduction and eradication of animal brucellosis. In particular, all livestock suffering from brucellosis should be marked to be distinguished. The owners of livestock with brucellosis are obliged to keep the ill animals separate from others and send them in due time to slaughterhouses. All livestock between 3 and 8 months should be vaccinated against brucellosis. The Iran Veterinary Organization shall pay compensation to all farmers who suffered losses. The Regulation consists of 44 articles sub-divided into 10 Chapters: Definitions (I); Initial Actions (II); Identification of Animals with Brucellosis (III); Actions after Diagnosis (IV); Inoculation (V); Compensation (VI); Health and Quarantine Regulations (VII); Health Certification (VIII); Incentives (IX); Miscellaneous Provisions (X).
