Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on waste management, prescribes the measures for environmental protection which must be implemented by the producers, owners and operators of exploited (end-life used) vehicles, their components and materials. This text also sets purposes and deadlines for achievement of such rules and manner and conditions of storage, form and content of the certificate for destructed vehicles, reporting forms as well as the manner of keeping of related records. The objectives of this Regulation are: prevention of waste generation from used vehicles with the possibility of recycling re-use, and other recycling practices for exploited vehicles and their components and materials in order to reduce the quantity of waste disposal; protection and improvement of the environment by all operators involved in the life cycle of vehicles, and especially those who are directly involved in the handling of end-life vehicles. Vehicle is any motor vehicle, except motor tricycles.
