Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on animal by-products (Republika Srpska), prescribes the conditions for feeding domestic animals by grazing and silage from the land (pastures) on which organic fertilizers and soil improvers are applied. This text further defines the terms such as pastures, organic fertilizers and soil improvers (pasture is land covered with grass which is used for grazing domestic animals; organic fertilizers are organic substances of plant or animal origin which are added to the land with the basic purpose of plant nutrition; soil improvers are substances that are added into the soil with the primary purpose of improving the physical or chemical characteristics of the biological activity of the soil). Organic fertilizers and soil improvers must be applied in accordance with manufacturer's instructions for use or in accordance with good production/farming practice. After the application of organic fertilizers and soil improvers on pastures, domestic animals shall not be allowed access to grazing for 21 days after such treatment; after the expiration of 21 days from the application of organic fertilizers and soil improvers, such pasture may be used for grazing of domestic animals or can be mowed for the purpose of obtaining silage.
