Abstract The Regulation states the requirements in terms of production, use and trade of food additives as per art. 3 in order to comply with hygiene and safety procedures for foodstuff. Article 7 deals with hygiene requirements for workers to oblige with, the materials used in food dishware and cutlery, the labelling and packaging of food treated with food additives. Article 8 indicates which additive is banned from use, dosing and labelling for the approved ones. The Regulation addresses also some minor environmental issues, like the location far from polluted areas and polluting sources. Full text English
