Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Veterinary Law (Republika Srpska), prescribes the conditions for livestock cemeteries and for pit tombs into which animals (corpses) are removed, including wastes of animal origin so as to be harmless to human and animal life and health. Livestock cemetery and pit tomb into which it is harmless to dispose animal carcasses and waste of animal origin must meet the following conditions: 1) they are located outside a populated place, in an area which is not envisaged by the urban plan for the construction of residential buildings, industrial buildings and facilities for the production, keeping and trade of animals; 2) they are located on land that is not flooded, underwater, in addition to watercourses, springs and where the groundwater level is low; 3) the cattle cemetery is fenced and marked, with a controlled entrance, in such a way as to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons or animals; 4) have an access road; 5) not to endanger the environment in any way, namely: water, air, land, plants and animals, environment, that is, places of special public interest; 6) to be away from the areas on which there are planted plants used in human and animal nutrition.
