Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Montenegrin Law on plant health protection, prescribes the necessary conditions and manner of performing the reduced scope of inspections over identity and health status of consignments of plants, plant products and controlled items or objects when imported into Montenegro. Reduced scope of product identity and health checks is carried out on the basis of the request of phytosanitary inspectors. This text observes the requirements contained in the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1756/2004 specifying the detailed conditions for the evidence required and the criteria for the type and level of the reduction of the plant health checks of certain plants, plant products or other objects listed in Part B of Annex V to Council Directive 2000/29/EC.
