Abstract

This Regulation specifies the method of classifying, prescribing and dispensing medicines for use in veterinary medicine and indicates related records that must be kept by persons who prescribe and dispense such veterinary medicines. Medicines are classified according to the way they are dispensed into: medicines that can only be dispensed with a veterinary prescription in pharmacies or during services in veterinary organizations; medicines that can be dispensed without a veterinary prescription in pharmacies, at the time of service in veterinary organizations or in specialized stores. The group of drugs that can only be issued with a veterinary prescription includes drugs that have anabolic, anti-inflammatory, narcotic, psychotropic, hormonal effects, or that act on the causative agents of infectious or parasitic diseases.
