Abstract

The present Regulation, issued by the Swedish Food Agency, lays down rules on cider. It does not apply to products that are legally produced or marketed in another Member State of the European Union or Turkey, nor to products that are not intended to be marketed within the country. In this Regulation, cider refers to a beverage made from fermented fruit juice from apple and / or pear. Product standards are set regarding the fruit juice content, fermentation process, and alcohol content.
