Abstract

The Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of 19 Paragraphs and three Annexes, establishes: method of appointing examination commissions by Polish Hunting Association; scope and mode of exams; forms of documents confirming authorization. The exam for basic authorization includes verifying the knowledge on: provisions of the Hunting Law and executive regulations; provisions of the Act on weapon and ammunition; structure of the Polish Hunting Association; principles and conditions of hunting; principles on the protection of the environment and basic species of protected animals; list of species of warrantable animals, their biology and hunting seasons; all permitted types of hunting weapon and ammunition, optical devices and basic hunting equipment; principles of safe and effective use of hunting weapon; basic diseases of warrantable animals and method s of their recognition; principles on ethics, tradition and hunting tongue; principles on handling killed animals and making trophies; and principles on hunting management.
