Abstract This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food lays down animal health conditions governing intra-Community trade in cattle and swine. Only animals which meet conditions specified in this Regulation can be moved from the territory of the Republic of Slovenia to other EU Member States. Cattle and swine must be examined by an official veterinarian within 24 hours before the departure and must show no clinical signs of disease. The animals also: may not come from holding or area being the subject to prohibition or restriction for medical reasons; must be marked in the prescribed way; may not be included in eradication programs of animal infectious diseases. Cattle and swine during transport to the destination place must be accompanied by the certificate on health status of animals. A health certificate is valid for ten days from the health control. This Regulation is composed of six articles divided into the following Sections: General provisions (Sec. 1); Conditions of the health of animals (Sec. 2); Conditions for dealers and carriers (Sec. 3); Control (Sec. 4); Measures (Sec. 5); Final provision (Sec. 6).
