The Regulation shall come into force 3 months after being signed.
Abstract

The Regulation sets the Epidemic Free Zones (EFZ) and the EF farming and breeding safety and buffer areas, where there is no evidence of diseases and, during epidemics, it is possible to confine livestock, cattle and poultry in order to ensure special measures for Veterinary Medicine Personnel to control and investigate contamination/disease/epidemics. The Regulation rules also terms for animal quarantine, the eventual inoculation of vaccines, the conduction of serological survey and in general epidemic surveillance. Registering procedures are included.
