Candidate qualifications are listed. Inspector courses are organized three times a year for a period of 2 weeks. Those who pass the final examination at the end of these courses become quarantine inspectors. Inspectors will attend in-service training in every five years for a period of 5 days. Their main duties are; i) preparation of Plant Health Certificate for export products in accordance to the respective legislation of the importing country; ii) advising respective customs office whether the imported products conform Turkish quarantine legislation; iii) checking packages and transportation vehicles for transit movements; Further details are given in the regulation.
