This Presidential Regulation enters into force on 26 September 2020.
Abstract

This Regulation, consisting of 22 articles divided into nine Chapters, creates the National Land Agency (BPN). It establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the BPN as a Non-Ministerial Government Institution under the responsibility of the President. BPN has the task of carrying out governmental duties in the field of land in accordance with statutory provisions. Its functions aim to formulate and implement policies in the following fields: land; land survey and mapping; determination of land rights and registration; land redistribution, community land empowerment, land use management, land arrangement according to the territorial planning, and structuring of coastal areas, small islands, borders, etc.; land acquisition and land development; control of land ownership and use in according to the territorial plan; handle and prevent disputes and conflicts; supervise the implementation of duties within the BPN; information management on sustainable agricultural land and food; research and development in the field of land.
