This Regulation enters into force on 11 January 2017.
Abstract

This Regulation amends several provisions of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. Amendments deal with composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Ministry, entitled to administer the following functions: formulate policies on marine spatial management, conservation and marine biodiversity, coastal and small island management, fisheries and aquaculture management, strengthening competitiveness and logistic systems of marine and fish products, increasing business livelihoods marine and fisheries, and supervision of the management of marine and fishery resources; implement policies in the above mentioned sectors; technical guidance and supervision on the implementation of marine spatial management policy, conservation management and marine biodiversity, coastal and small island management; conduct research in the field of marine fisheries and marine and fisheries development; implement fish quarantine, quality control, fishery product safety, and fish biological safety; implement integrated marine and fishery centre development; etc.
