Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of Section 73 (6) of the Veterinary Act, establishes the procedure for paying a fee to a veterinarian for participating in an animal disease control operation. According to the Regulation, a veterinarian receives a fee once a month for the services performed, based on the report submitted by the veterinarian to the Agriculture and Food Board. The Regulation specifies the fee rates paid to a veterinarian for each specific operation, including: vaccination of cattle, horse, sheep or goat; pig vaccination; cats and dogs vaccination; taking a sample of brain tissue of cattle, sheep or goat outside the slaughterhouse; taking research material from a researched fox, raccoon dog or jackal for the rabies control programme. In case of other duties and operations not mentioned in the Regulation, the fee rate is agreed in a contract concluded between the veterinarian and the Agriculture and Food Board.
