Abstract This Regulation, consisting of 28 articles divided into eleven Chapters and four Annexes, establishes the Fishing Vessel Monitoring System (SPKP). The objectives of the SPKP are: a) improve the effectiveness of fisheries management through monitoring fishing vessels; b) increase the compliance of fishing vessels performing fishing activity and/or transportation of fish to the provisions of the legislation; c) obtain data and information on fishing vessel activities in the context of responsible and sustainable management of fisheries; and d) improve the implementation of law enforcement in the field of fisheries. The scope of the regulation of this Ministerial Regulation includes: a) SPKP institution; b) SPKP infrastructure and facilities; and c) SPKP online transmitter provider.
