Abstract This Regulation, consisting of nine Chapters and 3 Annexes, establishes the list of food additives. It specifies the requirements to be met in order to use food additives, whose use is allowed within certain limits. In particular, it lists authorised and prohibited food additives (II and III); Production, Importation and Distribution (IV); Competent authority entitled to issue additive licensing (VI) and sanctions to be paid for illegal activity (VI).
