Abstract

This Regulation, based on the provisions of paragraph 85 of the Water Act, establishes requirements for risk assessment and management of drinking water catchment area and supply area. The Regulation defines the following risk assessment measures: description of the drinking water catchment area and supply area;  identification of hazards and dangerous situations in the catchment area or supply area and description of the potential risks posed to the quality of drinking water; monitoring of the drinking water. Matters covered by this Regulation include: identification and mapping of the catchment area and supply area; identification of sanitary protection areas located in the catchment area or supply area; measures for land use of the drinking water catchment area, including the processes of groundwater and surface water drainage; identification of pollutants and dangerous substances endangering groundwater.
