Abstract

This Regulation, consisting of 23 articles divided into eight Chapters, establishes the Supervision and Action of Quarantine Measures on the Import of Pathogen and/or Animal Drugs of Biological Supplies. This regulation is intended as a legal basis for quarantine officers in carrying out surveillance and quarantine measures against the introduction of pathogens and/or biological materials. The purpose is to prevent the entry and dissemination of HPH through pathogens and/or biological materials. The scope of this Regulation includes: Import Control, Quarantine Measures, Inter-Area Traffic, Quarantine Action Services, and Reporting Entities. The Introduction of pathogenic material and/or biological material from abroad can be done by business entity only if specific diseases are already present in Indonesia, through a Letter of Approval (SPP) issued by the Minister. Procedures of such introduction are specified in article 8 and Quarantine Measures are specified in Chapter III.
