The Regulation consists of 21 articles, divided into 5 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Responsibilities and Authorities (II); Committees of Saffron Bulb Purchase (III); Saffron Farmers (IV); Final Provisions (V). the main objectives of this Regulation include: to increase cultivation and production of saffron; to strengthen the economy of farmers through saffron cultivation; to encourage farmers to cultivate saffron and prevent the cultivation of illegal plants; to increase employment. Department of Agriculture Promotion and Development is the authority responsible to manage and monitor the process of preparation, purchase, and transfer of saffron bulb and to provide farmers with necessary equipments for its cultivation.
