The Regulation consists of 46 articles, divided into 9 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Establishment and Registration of Agricultural Cooperatives (II); Membership in Agricultural Cooperatives (III); Agricultural Cooperatives’ Assets (IV); Introduction of Representatives to Agricultural Cooperatives (V); Establishment and Management of Agricultural Cooperatives (VI); Duties (VII); Dissolution of Agricultural Cooperatives (VIII); Miscellaneous Provisions (IX). The main objectives of this Regulation include: to facilitate the creation, establishment and registration of agricultural cooperatives; to support agricultural cooperatives and economic institutions; to encourage agricultural cooperatives to use the effective methods in agricultural activities; to assist agricultural cooperatives to achieve sustainable development. The agricultural cooperatives may be established in two main fields of agriculture and animal husbandry. Only Afghan nationals are eligible to establish an agricultural cooperative. The structure of any agricultural cooperative consists of a general assembly, a board of directors and a supervisory board.
