Abstract

This Regulation provides for amending the Regulations no. R/25 of 2021 on the Natural Resources and Naturally Protected Species. The amendments concern: adding four new species of sharks to the list of protected species; updating the scientific names of some protected species to reflect the latest taxonomy; clarifying the definitions of some terms, such as trade, import, and export of species; revising the penalties for violating the Regulations, increasing the fines and introducing imprisonment.
