Honey shall be accepted for expertise in the presence of apiary certificate. Owners of honey must transport honey for sale in clean packages made of certified packaging materials. Selection of samples of honey for veterinary and sanitary expertise shall be carried out in accordance with the modalities specified in the Annex 1. Testing of honey shall be carried by the following indicators: (a) organoleptic indicators; (b) presence of hydroxymethyl furfural; (c) [alfa]-amylase activity; (d) pollen testing; (e) total acidity; (f) weight content of reductive sugar; (g) saceharobiose contents (by indicators); (h) presence of mechanical admixtures (by indicators); and (i) radioactive substances contents.
